Words cant express how much this painting means to me. My first artwork after having a Thymectomy (Cardio-thoracic surgery removing of a gland that sits on your heart). This artwork is my arty way of throwing my hands up in the air and shouting in triumph. I had been dreading, fearing and fighting to be offered this surgery since my diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis in 2021.
 
Now it is done and I am recovered.....and.... well for the first time in a long time I feel like life might actually get better. I am always hopeful.... but I finally have hope and i just want to bottle this feeling and keep it forever.
 
Instead I painted it and it will forever be my hope and joy and relief.
