This condition has been insidious in its ability to
strip away my capacities. Achieving the best
possible me as allowed by my health has been
a constant, tiring task requiring much learning,
much adaption and plenty of acceptance.
Present since the age of 16 it wasn't until a
major and persistent flare at 42 that a diagnosis
was discovered. Even then it took three difficult
years. I have Seronegative, full bodied
myasthenia. The twenty years since diagnosis
have been consumed with symptoms,
treatments, side effects and limitations.

The ups and downs of unpredictable treatment
cycles makes life hard.
My hope is that there will be more respect and
understanding given to this patient group. I hope
that clinicians better recognise the challenges
which arise from having this chronic condition
and will see the importance of seeking and
fighting for early medical remission.
