Sharin - Brisbane QLD

by Chloe Wigg 2025, acrylic, resin, acetate and ink on wood 30.5cm x 30.5cm x 5cm

I was diagnosed with generalised MG (Musk)
after a year of searching for answers. I have
found it very challenging dealing with everyday
chores and living the lifestyle I was used to.
Coming from being very active physically and
socially to now making choices of when and
what to do so that it does not impact too much
on myself. I have had to work hard to mentally
cope with the condition and to embrace the
physical changes it in a positive way. I celebrate
that I was able to turn this around and I am now
managing my condition better and trying to live
"normally'. Joining the MGAQ association in a
capacity to help bring about MG awareness has
helped immensely.

I want the world to know that MG affects every
individual so differently, there is not one
symptom that affects everyone the same. And
that to be more kind to those who have MG- as
it is not always visible. My portrait is teal, which
is my favourite colour and represents MG, but to
me it's a colour of resilience, hope and
happiness.
