Artist Statement​

As a fluid impressionist, Chloe Wigg creates intricate, evocative paintings from layers of poured acrylic paint. Expressive and playful, her art is an immersive celebration of life, portrayed by someone with an invisible disability. Chloe's installation works meet at the intersection of Art, Community and Advocacy.  They challenge audiences to see beauty in the bigger picture and find solace in the details.

Plain English Artist Statement

I love painting. It helps me make the world a more colourful place. My work is made by pouring paint out of cups to make something pretty. I like painting the sky because I cant see it when I am in hospital, so it makes me feel happy when I look at it. I like painting rocks because it reminds me how strong I am. When I am feeling really bad, colourful art makes me feel better, so I make colourful art to help other people feel better too.
